Romney Tweed
Founded by a former UK Ambassador to Oman and New Zealand, Robert Alston & his wife Pat Alston. Romney Tweed is as a social enterprise based near Romney Marsh in Kent. Within this area lies a renowned breed of sheep with yarn that forms the basis of a tweed they produce.
Tidal helped with launch their brand identity, marketing, trade shows, website and art direction of photography. We were asked to come up with a identity that would convey the contemporary quality of the tweeds.
The design of tweeds were initially offered as project for students from St Martins Art School to design. From there on the Social enterprise has gone on to produce many of these designs as well as being commissioned by The Royal St Georges Golf Club to develop their own unique tweed.
